Front cover attempt 1

This is my first attempt of making a front cover. I noticed images on other big label magazines have closeup shots and mediam shots but I wanted to be unique with my front cover so I decided to try something new.

My model: He looks hidden in the shadows this makes  him look like he’s blending in with the atmosphere yet he seems to look like he’s emerging out of the shadows. This gives the idea that he’s an upcoming rapper.

Background: It’s in a alleyway. The allerway can represent success as there is light at the end. At the moment Fatal seems to be at the start of the alleyway and seems to be aiming for the end and he emerges.

Clothing: His red cap and dark clothing relate to the colour scheme of the Rap Delivered colours.(Red and black).

Text: The text relates to the rapper in the image. Talking about a interview set out with him. There’s also text saying ‘Fearless Bloodline’ this is his record label. I’ve decided to put it up for advertisement and eye attraction.

Im going to take new images and try make my self a more apealing front cover. I may use this image for my contents page in my front cover though.

Masthead

Ive made these two mastheads. I didn't know what one to pick for my front cover to i printed them off and asked people to vote for what one they prefer. The red based one had 3 votes while the black based one had 7 votes. So i chose the black based one as its what veiwers prefered.
